Today’s only recording is HouseGuardian Angels.

The patient is a funeral home cosmetician who had a seizure, and is now seeing dead people like her mother.

As part of the diagnostic procedure, House makes his remaining candidates dig up a recently buried man to do a biopsy of his brain.

The patient sees her mother, and an old man she says is House’s grandfather, and she even talks about a man in a wheelchair with a dog – the patient from the previous episode that Thirteen ‘killed’. So she gets a little freaked out when a dog collar appears in the lab when they’re running another test on her. But it’s not a ghostly dog collar, it’s just Amber (aka Cutthroat Bitch) messing with her head to get her to quit.

Hallucinations aren’t the only symptoms,  as she starts coughing up blood during another test.

House has been needling Dr Cole about his Mormonism throughout, but the final straw is “Either you’ve got to prescribe an exorcism or admit to me that Joseph Smith was a horny fraud.” Cole punches House.

Amber cracks the case, suggesting mouldy bread as a cause, with the patient eating only organic food, leading to ergot poisoning. “You’d need damp grain that had been completely unprocessed” “Like what’s in that organic rye bread she’s been eating.”

The patient has to say a sad farewell to her hallucination of her dead mother.

And finally, Foreman, who has been interviewing all episode, and getting knocked back because his association with House is seen as a disadvantage, finally asks Cuddy for a job.

Media Centre Description: US medical drama about a maverick, anti-social New Jersey doctor. House’s team rallies to treat a young woman who believes she can see the dead. Meanwhile, Foreman struggles to get his career back on track.

Recorded from Five on Thursday 10th April 2008 21:00
