The first recording today opens with the end of Richard & Judy talking to Lembit Opik.

Then, it’s an episode of The SimpsonsJaws Wired Shut.

Homer has his jaws wired shut, and can’t talk, so he has to listen to his family instead.

But Marge gets bored with a Homer who doesn’t do stupid things any more, so she enters the Demolition Derby.

Media Centre Description: When Homer has his jaw wired shut, he learns the joys of listening and becomes a model citizen, much to Marge’s delight.

The next recording is another new series, but don’t get too invested, I only have three episodes of this.

It’s Bionic WomanPilot which opens with a lot of dead people in a biotech research facility, and a blonde woman crouching over one of the victims. “I didn’t want to. I’m out of control.” The man pursuing her was apparently in love with her, which doesn’t stop him shooting her. Given that she’s played by Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff, I’m going to guess she’ll turn up again later.

The show stars ex-Eastenders star Michelle Ryan as Jaime Sommers. She’s living with her younger sister, who’s still at school, because their parents are gone.

She’s also dating Will, a professor of cosmetic surgery.

At dinner, she tells him she’s pregnant, he tells her his grant is probably going to come through, for working in Paris, they have a conversation about baby names, and on the way home a truck runs straight into the car.

The person driving the truck was a blonde woman. Yes, it’s Katee Sackhoff from the opening. We later see her visiting a man who asks her if she killed the doctor, so she’s working for bad people.

It looks like Will got out of the accident with barely a scratch while Jaime lost both legs, and arm, and eye and an ear. Lucky that he’s part of the research facility from the opening, and is able to replace all her damage with bionic implants.

Miguel Ferrer seems to be mostly in charge of this facility, and there’s debates over whether they might kill Jaime if she doesn’t want to work with them as some kind of super soldier.

There’s also Mark Shepperd as Will’s father, who’s in a maximum security prison.

Jaime is let out of the facility by Will, and runs away when they chase her. She returns to her previous life, and job as a bartender. Katee Sackhoff comes to visit Jaime at work, and tells her a bit about what’s happening to her. And she tells her her name, Sarah Corvus, who was indeed the person at the start.

Later, when Jaime and Will are together, Corvus tries to kill them from a distance.

Jaime goes after her and there’s a big fight in the rain, on a roof. But Corvus gets away.

Media Centre Description: Modern update of the classic 1970s science fiction series. A young woman, struggling to care for her younger sister whilst juggling work and romance, suffers terrible injuries in an horrific car accident. To keep her alive, she is implanted with an array of bionic body parts, giving her incredible superhuman abilities beyond her comprehension – and her control.

After this, the recording stops with the start of Keith Lemon’s World Tour.

The final recording today starts with the end of Topic of Capricorn.

There’s a trail for The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency.

And a trail for I’d Do Anything.

Then, there’s a repeat of Life in Cold BloodThe Cold Blooded Truth.

Media Centre Description: David Attenborough reveals the surprising truth about the cold-blooded lives of reptiles and amphibians. These animals are as dramatic in combat, as colourful in their communication and as tender in their parental care as any other animals. Join giant courting crocodiles, jousting tortoises and bright red sumo-wrestling frogs in their sophisticated, solar-powered lives.
