The first recording today starts with the end of Mister Maker.

There’s a trail for Something Special.

Then, there’s an episode of Charlie and LolaBut I Am Completely Hearing and Also Listening.

Lola has an Elephant hand puppet that seems to be very distracting for her.

They are putting a puppet theatre together, but as Charlie reads out the instructions, Lola isn’t listening, and the result isn’t good.

Arnold Wolf tells everyone he has the new Batcat game, and invites them to a party at his house. Lola isn’t listening properly again.

As a result, they arrive after the party has finished.

To practice listening, they have another go at building the puppet theatre.

They put on a Batcat show.

They put it on for Arnold, who also gets to find the Elephant’s missing ear.

Media Centre Description: Children’s animation. Join Lola and Charlie, a brother and sister, as they deal with topics that affect their everyday lives. Lola thinks that she’s good at listening. However, her not listening leads to problems at home and at school. When Arnold Wolf invites everybody to his house for a Batcat party, Lola doesn’t listen to the instructions, and Charlie and Lola miss the party. Lola has to become a good listener.

After this, the recording stops with the start of Toddworld.

The next recording is an edited recording of M.I. HighEvil by Design.

For a fancy fashion brand, this is more W12 industrial park than Paris chic, but I guess this show doesn’t have a huge travel budget.

Ferrago is moping because his fashion isn’t selling, and he doesn’t have a new collection.

A young girl, Evie Solomon, there on work experience has drawn up some designs. She says “I think kids might like them.” He replies “You think we design clothes… People might actually wear?”

Ferrago gets a phone call from the head of SKUL. “I have a proposition. A way to ensure everybody is wearing your next collection. If you have one.” “Yes, of course I have a new collection.” he calls to Evie.  “You, worker girl, wait. Clothes people actually wear. Maybe we can explore this crazy idea.”

Six months later, and the clothes are all the rage. Everyone at school is wearing them.

One of Daisy’s friends has acquired a Ferrago logo. “Cool. You drew that?” “No, I didn’t, but I like it.”

Ferrago meets the head of SKUL. They’re using some chemical with the clothes which is going to have some kind of an effect. All the kids are developing Ferrago logos, related to how much Ferrago clothing they’re wearing.

I do love the way Ferrago always has people holding a frame in front of him on a Zoom call.

The school is running a “Find me a model” competition. One of the dinner ladies takes part. “this is a fashion show for kids, and a ladle is not a fashion accessory.”

Daisy is the last contestant, and 50 Pence, of the kids, puts Rose’s name on the list too, So she has to come up from the MI9 HQ to join in. They clearly have some amazing hairy styling gadgetry.

So now Rose wins the modelling shoot with Ferrago, and Daisy and Blane have to be undercover as nerds.

Rose gives a lot of Oomph, so Daisy and Blane can sneak off looking for the poison.

Evie finds them in the room with the chemicals, and they have to tell her they’re spies investigating the chemicals in the clothes.

Blane gets them out through a locked back door using a deodorant that cuts through doors.

The effect of the chemicals is getting worse.

“Soon, every child in Britain will be branded the Colours of Ferrago.”

Blane covers Ferrago in a glue made from his chemical. “The chemical used to just replicate the Ferrago logo and imprint it on the skin. Now it imprints the entire molecular structure of whatever it is you’re wearing.” “So your DNA combines with fabric?” “Sounds crazy, but kids are going to become half human, half clothes.” Daisy gets Ferrago to tell all the kids to take off all his clothes, and he shows them what will happen if they don’t.

Ferrago ends up in jail, and very unhappy with his new fashion look.

Media Centre Description: Children’s spy drama with high school kids Blane, Daisy and Rose. Daisy turns green with envy when she and Rose go head-to-head in a modelling competition while investigating a dangerous new fashion craze. Britain’s kids are going mad for the fashion designs of Lorenzo Ferrago. But when green logos start appearing on their skin, the school spies take to the catwalk to investigate the designer, deciding to infiltrate the House of Ferrago by posing as models.

The next recording is The SimpsonsThe PTA Disbands. I did look at this one on a tape.

Media Centre Description: Principal Skinner and Mrs Krabappel escort their students on a trip fraught with danger to the Fort Springfield Civil War site.

After this, the recording ends with the start of Hollyoaks.

The final recording today is arepeat of AtomThe Clash of the Titans which I saw on its original broadcast. This recording was edited so there’s nothing around it.

Media Centre Description: The discovery that everything is made from atoms has been referred to as the greatest scientific breakthrough in history. As scientists delved deep into the atom, they unravelled nature’s most shocking secrets and abandoned traditional beliefs, leading to a whole new science which still underpins modern physics, chemistry and biology, and maybe even life itself. Nuclear physicist Professor Jim Al-Khalili tells the story of this discovery and the brilliant minds behind the breakthrough.
