The first recording today starts with the end of Mister Maker.
There’s a trail for Finley the Fire Engine.
Then there’s an episode of Charlie and Lola – But I Really Don’t Like This Present.
Lola and Lotta are exchanging holiday presents. Lola has got Lotta a bracelet. “Oooh…! It’s beautiful, Lola. That’s what I really, really wanted.” “Mum helped me slightly choose, because you are my most best friend.” “I will wear it all the time and actually forever.”
But Lotta’s gift for Lola is a hat which she really doesn’t like.
She lends it to Arnold because he really likes it, but Lotta is upset because she said she’s wear it forever. So she takes it back.
Walking home, a strong wind blows the hat high in a tree.
Lola tells Lotta. Next day, Lotta has a surprise for her. “I told my mum about your hat going in the tree, and SHE said that she had bought an EXTRA one! Well, I can give it to YOU if I want, cos you are my actual best friend.” “I will wear it all the time, forever” says Lola, scratching her head from the itchy hat.
Media Centre Description: Children’s animation. Charlie loves his little sister Lola, even if at times she can be infuriating! Lola doesn’t like the hat that Lotta gives her. It’s itchy and it has ‘dangly bits’. Even Soren Lorenson, Lola’s imaginary friend, thinks it wouldn’t be too bad if she lost the hat by accident. It’s only when she really does lose it that Lola realizes her friendship with Lotta is more important.

After this, the recording stops with the start of Toddworld.
The next recording starts with the end of Richard and Judy talking to the van Tulleken brothers.
Then, an episode of The Simpsons – Round Springfield. It’s the one where Bleeding Gums Murphy dies, and all the Jazz sounds like it’s being played by the Saturday Night Live house band.
Media Centre Description: Lisa bumps into Bleeding Gums Murphy, who recounts how his career as a saxophonist began. He loans Lisa his sax for her recital which is a huge hit. After learning that Bleeding Gums died during the night, she sets about trying to get the local radio station to play his album.

The recording stops with the start of Hollyoaks.
The last recording today starts with the end of Pop Goes the Sixties.
There’s a trail for the BBC Four World Cinema Award.
Then, there’s an episode of Batman – The Curse of Tut. Not the Animated series, but the 1960s version. Someone has erected a Sphinx in Gotham Park.
Commissioner Gordon thinks it’s a publicity stunt by the Gotham Museum, so he calls Bruce Wayne, who’s the treasurer of the Museum, who is rather offended that the Commissioner might suggest that.
The Villain is King Tut, played by Victor Buono.
The Sphinx in the park is a trap for Batman, who is too smart to stand right next to where the knife comes out.
There’s a fight. Sometimes the sound effects have a slightly different meaning to someone who grew up in Britain in the 70s and 80s.
Back at the museum, Bruce Wayne is showing off the exhibits including the mummified remains of a pharaoh who died 3,500 years ago.
But the mummy is still alive. It seems like Wayne is playing along, since the man is obviously King Tut, who he’s already met, but he’s saying “It’s fantastic, incredible. The preservation techniques, what a man he must have been.”
He accompanies the man to the ambulance, but the medics spray him and knock him out. It must be a very highly directed jet to not affect anyone but Wayne.
The episode ends with a cliffhanger, as Bruce Wayne wakes up, tied up in the back of an ambulance, and as he struggles to get out, the trolley he’s on falls out of the back, and rolls down the hill towards a cliff.
Media Centre Description: Superhero action with the dynamic duo. A mad scholar who has declared himself King of the Nile sets off in pursuit of Bruce Wayne.
