The recording stops with the start of an episode of Blade.
The final recording is Curb Your Enthusiasm – Therapist.
Larry asks Cheryl Hines “It’s a mystery to me. How could you have lived with that maniac for that long?” But he’s talking about “the old Larry” and not Robert F Kennedy Jr. Do we believe Larry has changed for the better? Cheryl left him a couple of episodes before, but I didn’t record that episode.
Steve Coogan plays Larry’s therapist Dr Bright, giving him advice on how to get Cheryl back.
They have a date. Bob Einstein (Who I know as Super-Dave Osborn) asks Larry to sponsor him for an Alzheimer’s walk, which he reluctantly does.
Larry follows Dr Bright’s advice and gives Sheryl an ultimatum for getting back together. This pisses her off and she leaves. So Larry brings Dr Bright to talk to Cheryl to explain that it was his advice. This doesn’t help either.
The next plan is to influence Cheryl’s therapist in Larry’s favour. He persuades Dr Bright to snatch her bag so he can tackle him and look like a hero. It works surprisingly well, except for Dr Bright who’s arrested. But the therapist is really impressed with Larry.
Dr Bright is in jail, though, and worried when he’s going to get out.
Larry calls Cheryl after her next therapist appointment, and is shocked when Cheryl tells him her therapist told her never to see him again.
At the Alzheimer’s walk Larry spots Bob Einstein sitting in a cafe and not walking. “You’re supposed to be walking.” “I raise money. I don’t walk.” “You didn’t tell me you were sitting. I wouldn’t have given you money in the first place.” “I didn’t say I was walking.” “Well, the walking’s implied, is it not?”
Larry realises that the reason Cheryl’s therapist told Cheryl not to see him is that he impressed her so much she’s now in love with him. The Alzheimer’s walk gives him an idea, so he meets her and tells her he’s been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She tells him he should be back with Cheryl.
During their lunch, a police detective comes to ask Larry for a description of the man who stole the therapist’s bag, and Larry is able to convincingly say he doesn’t remember.
Dr Black gets out of jail. He’s a mess so he needs professional help, and he sees Cheryl’s therapist. He tells her about what happened with Larry.
Cheryl is back with Larry, and they celebrate at a funfair. Until Cheryl gets a call from her therapist.
Media Centre Description: American sitcom. Larry tries to use Cheryl’s therapist to get back into her good books. Larry is miffed at Marty’s participation level in an Alzheimer’s walk.
